A sampler of the more adventurous music being played in the little clubs around Los Angeles. Many styles and sounds, but only one approach: honest.A truly eclectic trip into new territory.

#1 is spy/surf/lounge.
#2 is South Bay punk pop.
#3 is complicated rock/fusion.
#4 is a jam with improv vocals.
#5 is a scary good guitar instrumental.
#6 is great cut-and-paste by a one man army.
#7 is a relaxed jazz groove in 7/4 time.
#8 is some crazy spoken word followed by
   great studio jamming.
#9 is tasty fusion with a strong melody.
#10 is a shocking song by a proud woman.
#11 is a hypnotic dance track that seeps right in.
#12 is Vida again with classic rock meets
    early punk flavor.
#13 is a Latin style tune that percolates along.
#14 is a strangepunk/bebop thing.
#15 is new fusion that is a frightening blend
    of pretty and ugly.
#16 is label pres Brian Sisson on improv vocals.
#17 is twisted Orange County madness.
#18 is a groovin improv-tune that examines a
    barroom philospher's mind.
#20 is experimental rock gone haywire.
Our advice: smoke a fatty and surrender to the journey.
