Assuming you're already familiar with the giant groups like Beatles/ Stones/ Hendrix/ Genesis/ U2/ Clapton/ etcetera, I would like to be the guy to turn you onto some more cool music. I hang out with people who LOVE music of all kinds. My personal record collection is an eclectic monstrosity, and my musician pals have similar collections. I asked them what music they refer to interested listeners, and together we came up with the following SUGGESTED LISTENING lists. If you dig music, but find that the radio doesn't reveal enough cool stuff (it doesn't), explore some of the music on these lists. Discs on vinyl or cd should not be too hard to find. Look around. You won't be disappointed. Launchpad Artists are in bold. These are artists that, if you explore their work, will take you on entire musical journeys into genres you may have overlooked. Check out who plays on their records and follow those trails. You will uncover vast teasures.

Pass it along to somebody else. You never know who is hungry for something new. Pop commercial radio won't take you to interesting musical places very often. The lists above will.
