Back in 1993, Kashmir Quartet met for one of their infrequent (yearly) jam sessions at Music Focus studios in Hermosa Beach. For two days, Karl Grossman set mics and got levels while actually playing in the session. They played a strange inprovised mixture of fusion jazz, rock, world beat and spoken word music. All off-the-cuff. The results are amazing.

Recorded to 16 track tape, the multitrack was mixed by Karl a few weeks later to a DAT stereo master and handed to Max Bower in Santa Ana for mastering. The audio quality is superb, and the mix puts you right in the room with five great musicians, playing together and thinking on their feet.
